Student laboratory for MINTplus, digitality & sustainability
The matrixLab
The student laboratory for MINTplus, digitality and sustainability is funded as part of the European Union's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is part of the zdi-REACT-EU program, which finances the procurement of digital equipment. After initial supportive purchases, extensions are made via a follow-up program.
The concept has gained in profile and the matrixLab has started operations - as a physical location and as a mobile offering.
The matrixLab is a participatory laboratory for different dialogue groups. The methodological focus is on the areas of open innovation and co-creation. The functional focus is the digitalization of design and production processes. Economic, ecological and social sustainability issues are also addressed. The laboratory works closely with other FabLabs, MakerSpaces and zdi laboratories and also tests courses with groups of students who are otherwise difficult to reach.
The funding particularly strengthened the mobile character.
