These include, among others
- Projects on equal opportunities through inclusion and health promotion in social spaces,
- Projects for and with young people, for example in the field of STEM funding or
- Projects related to digital manufacturing methods to create innovative open source hardware in co-creative processes.

The founding of this unit in 2020 is a structural measure that contributes to the realization of our corporate goal that more people will be able to live, learn and work independently in the future
The makeopaedics project

Open and collaborative development of aids in orthopedics help patients and SMEs. In the MakeOpaedics project, innovative open source hardware is being created using digital production methods - with the aim of driving change in the supply system and making individual aids accessible to a broad group of the population. The project team develops existing maker prototypes into professional solutions in a co-creative process.
The MINT initiative"MINTvernetzt"
MINTvernetzt is the service and contact point for the community of MINT actors in Germany. These are supported by networking spaces, transfer offers and innovation impulses to make innovative and sustainable STEM educational offers that appeal to even broader and more diverse target groups. This includes girls and young women in particular.

MINT is networked by Federal Ministry of Education, Family, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMBFSFJ) funded and supported by the Amber-Stiftung, the matrix gGmbH, the National MINT Forum eV, the University of Regensburg as well as the Donors' Association implemented together. As a partner, matrix gGmbH is responsible for the technical and conceptual structure of the MINT-E platform as well as for community management.
The MINT campus project
The MINT campus is the learning platform of the MINT community and is particularly aimed at people who are active and committed to MINT education. The learning opportunities are open to everyone, easily accessible and free of charge. To do this, we develop high-quality formats together with MINT actors and curate existing exciting learning opportunities. In addition, digital and analogue community offerings are made visible. Both the platform and the learning offerings are developed according to an open innovation process.
The STEM campus is run by matrix gGmbH, the Donors' Association and Children's Research Foundation implemented jointly as a consortium and funded by the BMBFSFJ (Federal Ministry of Education, Family, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth) promoted.
matrix gGmbH is responsible for the network coordination as well as for the development and support of communities. Another focus is on the technical implementation of the learning platform and public relations.
