matrix is a member of the EU STEM Coalition

For better STEM education in Europe
We are very pleased that the matrix group is now a direct member of the European EU STEM Coalition to have been admitted.
The EU STEM Coalition is a pan-European network of governmental and non-profit partners committed to improving STEM education in Europe. Its goal is to help shape formal and non-formal MINT education policy and practice in such a way that economic and social developments and thus better opportunities for everyone are promoted. The members of the STEM Coalition work together with political decision-makers, educational providers, scientists and the economy to promote new paths in educational work. Among other things, they want to develop and implement effective and sustainable solutions for the shortage of skilled workers in the STEM field.
The EU STEM Coalition has a clear mission: to promote the exchange of best practice examples in the STEM fields between countries and regions. With a wide range of activities and resources, it also brings decision-makers and designers together at the political level to exchange ideas and experiences and to develop new approaches in various areas of STEM education and the labor market. It organizes major conferences, thematic working groups, webinars, peer learning activities and online repositories.
Why does matrix join the EU STEAM Coalition?
The matrix group has been involved in STEM education for 20 years. We do this primarily because the world we live in is becoming increasingly complex and technology-driven. Even the major transformation issues of our time such as climate change, digitization, nutrition and health issues cannot be solved without a sound understanding of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology. This requires a comprehensive and deeper understanding of STEM, both among experts and the general public. People who do not have these STEM skills are disadvantaged; we also want to work against this with our work.
