Equal Opportunities: Women with Disabilities in the Labor Market

Christina Marx, Aktion Mensch, in conversation with Simone Bull, matrix.

The matrix podcast Equal Opportunities is about women with disabilities on the labor market: 10 million people with disabilities live in Germany, 7,6 million of them have a severe disability. Most of these severe disabilities are acquired in the course of life. In particular, Aktion Mensch examined the situation of women with severe disabilities in a study. This makes it clear that they are the lowest paid group on the labor market, despite often having good qualifications.

Christina Marx, spokeswoman for Aktion Mensch, summarizes the results of the study "Women with severe disabilities on the labor market" in an interview, puts the background in perspective and reports on concrete solutions at work.
