With reinforcements in the new year: matrix welcomes expert in municipal health promotion

Dr. Anna Streber complements the matrix team in the model project as a senior consultant for “network development and participation processes” "Commune Inclusive" the action man. She also supports the process support, the municipalities funded on behalf of the GKV Alliance for Health from the "Municipal Structure Development" funding program in the federal states of Bavaria and Thuringia. Ever since she studied sports science, Anna, who prefers to dance and do gymnastics in her private life, has been involved in promoting the health of socially disadvantaged groups.

As an expert in participatory processes, she has worked with numerous actors from organizations and municipalities in the context of health promotion and has accompanied and advised them scientifically for many years.

Their experience shows: “A real contribution to equal opportunities for socially disadvantaged groups can only be made if, on the one hand, effective projects are implemented and anchored in the municipalities over the long term and the target group for the offer is reached at the same time. It therefore requires an intensive examination of the needs and needs of the people as well as the structural framework conditions on site in order to create suitable offers together. "

Angela Giebel has been strengthening the matrix team since December 2020. She supports the management in the major project Future through Innovation.NRW (zdi) and in the management of the area "Accompaniment". Most recently, she worked as an event manager for a large and internationally active German commercial law firm. At matrix, she is particularly looking forward to getting to know new subject areas and being able to actively contribute to the regional and national MINT scene.

She will contribute her expertise to various events such as BarCamps and Video Awards: "From my experience, I know how important it is to create special physical and virtual environments in which creativity, joy, knowledge transfer and the exchange of experiences outside of everyday life environment are possible. I am enthusiastic about offering young people exciting highlights where they can meet like-minded people and test their interests and skills.”
