matrix starts third edition of the Fabricademy in Germany
From orthoses to intelligent surface technologies - the Fabricademy develops innovative and sustainable solutions in the areas of textiles, soft fabrics and assistive systems. At the same time, it is about the professional development of participants who have to do with digital manufacturing.

As part of the continuing education offer of Fab Foundation Academy matrix starts the third edition of the Fabricademy in Deutschland.
The Fabricademy is a transdisciplinary advanced training course. It focuses on the development of new technologies for surfaces and material prototyping. The focus is on the wide range of applications in the textile industry, sustainable production and the market for portable aids. The program is aimed at participants from companies who want to generate innovation factors in the textile industry from HCI materials and digital manufacturing.
The program is carried out by Adriana Cabrera. The industrial designer is one of the pioneers of the maker movement and fablabs in Germany. At matrix, she supports the product development department in the innovation consulting team.
The program consists of two phases and a total duration of six months. The first three months mainly consist of seminars and modules that take place both online and in the FabLabs on site. the second half of the program is then devoted to developing application-oriented project work.
