Fablab experts and strategy consultants complete the innovation team
The industrial designer Adriana Cabrera and the mechanical engineer Ludger Reckmann are now supporting the matrix innovation consulting team. Both have excellent practical experience, so that they can both advise customers methodically and provide practical support - on the one hand in product development, on the other hand in innovation and technology management.

Adriana Cabrera is one of the pioneers of the maker movement and fablabs in Germany. At the Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences she helped set up one of the first Fablabs and worked on both the technical and the didactic concept. From now on she will focus on product development in the innovation consulting team. In particular, she would like to promote the networking of Fablabs in Germany and worldwide with companies. “I am fascinated by the possibility that many people can contribute their ideas and expertise to a fablab,” she says. “In an iterative process, products are manufactured that solve individual problems. I think it's great when collective knowledge helps develop new things. ”As a consultant and product developer in the innovation team, she will be involved in the“ Emscher Lippe 4" work. She also supports the "MakeOpaedics" project, which aims to enable medical supply stores to develop products in fablabs.
Reinforcement in strategy and technology consulting for companies

With Ludger Reckmann, matrix is expanding its consulting services for industrial companies even more. Most recently, he worked very successfully in high management positions at GEA Westfalia and Carl Geringhoff. There he was responsible for the modernization of innovation processes as well as the areas of production and logistics. At matrix he will advise medium-sized customers on these and similar strategic issues. "We are primarily focusing on the management level in companies," says Reckmann. “Time and again I experience that companies are leaders in their market segment, but their innovation management is not up to date and professional. In order to remain successful in the market in the future, ideas and innovations must be developed in a structured manner. It is a personal concern of mine to make the local companies even fitter for the competition for old and new markets. ”He offers this“ head consultation ”at eye level together with matrix managing director Guido Lohnherr.
